Overview

Tilipman Digital was approached by the client to design and develop the Landing page (LP). Seems as an easy thing to do, except there was a nuance. The requirement for the LP was that it needed to be up and running in a record short timeframe of 1 week as to show it to the investors and raise capital.

Looking deeper, a simple LP redesign was not the only thing that was required, but a brand polish that would freshen up the perception of the initial investors on Collar Protocol. We analyzed the old landing page, improved the visual component and made sure the right information was accented through the website.

Product Goals and Objectives

Collar Protocol is a Y-Combinator backed DeFi borrowing solution. The idea behind the product was to create a solution that is run by marketers instead of liquidators. The main goal was to design and develop a site that the clients could show to investors to raise funding and launch their project into the world.

Redesign

The main thing we thought about when redesigning the landing page was "What do we showcase as the most important things for the investors?" We analyzed the provided content, analyzed the industry, and interviewed the client.

Hence, we made it our primary goal to reach three objectives for the new landing page: 

  1. Explain in simple terms what the project is and what it does.
  2. Narrow down and showcase no more than 4 important features.
  3. Answer the most common questions the team gets when speaking to the investors.

Webflow Development

We used fluid units (VW and EM) in order to make the site responsive and scale on different desktop breakpoints.

The site had to be animation heavy, although the client had an ask to make those animation appear seamless. The main challenge was using Webflow to achieve that result, as seamless means not only to look good and minimalistic, but also to perform well.

For that reason we used CSS as the basis technology for all animations and JS to add classes that served as triggers for those animations, hence making the site perform better.
